Abstrak

Daun ketumbar (Coriandrum sativum L) telah diketahui memiliki sifat antiinflamasi dalam pengobatan tradisional. Beberapa penelitian ilmiah telah menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun ketumbar mengandung senyawa-senyawa yang memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan formulasi gel yang mengandung ekstrak daun ketumbar (Coriandrum sativum L) menggunakan Carbopol 940 sebagai gelling agent. Fokus utama penelitian adalah menganalisis sifat fisik gel yang dihasilkan.

Metode penelitian melibatkan pembuatan berbagai formulasi gel dengan konsentrasi Carbopol 940 yang berbeda-beda. Ekstrak daun ketumbar dimasukkan ke dalam formulasi gel tersebut. Sifat fisik yang dianalisis mencakup organoleptik, homogenitas, daya sebar, daya lekat, pH, viskositas, dan sinerisis gel.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi Carbopol 940 mempengaruhi sifat fisik gel secara signifikan. Analisis meliputi pengaruh konsentrasi Carbopol 940 terhadap viskositas gel, kemampuan gel untuk menyebar, serta pH gel yang dihasilkan.

Kesimpulan penelitian mengindikasikan formulasi optimal Carbopol 940 untuk menghasilkan gel ekstrak daun ketumbar dengan sifat fisik yang diinginkan.
